Diwali Wanderings.

The evening that darkens the sky.
The stars that shimmer.
The fireworks that dazzle.
Row of oil lamps that flicker.
The shine of diyas .
The embellished rangolis in the veranda.
The  tempting aroma of sweets.
The chimes of door bell.
The echo of chants.
The fragrance of flowers.
A smile on each one’s face.
Is all what you sight in each house of the rich and poor .
Across every nook and corner of the street .
Its a season
When old and young with delight meet
With love and affection all hearts beat.
Its a time filled with light and love.
For its a reason to celebrate , to rejoice ;
the triumph of victory of light over darkness,
Knowledge over ignorance,
Good over evil,
And hope over disparity .
Hey , you guessed it right !!
It is Deepawali !!
The festival of lights , love ,peace and victory.

Wishing everyone a very happy , sparkling  and safe Diwali..!!

Diwali is first a festival of giving. So let’s take this opportunity to spread a smile on the face of the less privileged and see the sparkle in their eyes. I am pretty sure it will make the festival brighter than any firecracker in this world.

Though, the festive spirit should not soften any bit, we should also make sure we keep the proceedings safe, sound and eco-friendly.

I would  be delighted  to hear from you , about your celebrations this diwali !!
